Off-grid

A classroom with power after sunset.

FluidPod with solar runs lighting, fans and equipment where the grid is weak or absent, without diesel deliveries or a generator operator.

Solar panels in a field

The problem

A school outside the reliable reach of the grid loses lighting, fans and computer equipment for hours at a time. Diesel deliveries are irregular and expensive, and a generator needs someone on site to run it. Evening study is the first thing to go.

The configuration

A FluidPod is paired with a rooftop solar array. The array charges the battery through the day, the battery carries lighting, fans and a small computer room into the evening, and the grid tops up when it is available. There is no diesel and no daily intervention.

The outcome

The school runs its evening programme on stored solar. Maintenance is a remote check in FluidTwin, and field service is scheduled from pack data rather than from a failure. The same configuration works for cold rooms, water pumps and small clinics beyond the feeder.
